2024-07-11 College Orientation
I did my college orientation today.
Honestly, I can't wait. I spent my entire life growing up in a tiny town and I'm sick of it.
Many would still consider the college town I'm moving to small, but I grew up in a town of >2,000 people. I'm ready to move to a new place.
Another aspect is, of course, being more independent. I can't wait to have my own routine and just generally be an adult.
I'm not going to put down any concrete plans here for what I'm hoping to achieve every day, I feel like that should be kept in one's head and never uttered or written down. I heard somewhere that writing down goals or telling them to someone makes you feel like you've already done it. I don't know if this is true but the thought scares me.
Once I get into good habits though I'll definitely write about it on this site.
That's all for now, I just wanted to express how excited I am.

2024-07-09 Welcome
This has been a long time coming.
I've always wanted to have a good website and I think this is finally it. Something with enough customizability based on a project I love written in a language I like.
Personal websites can often just become landing pages that look like a business card, but I've never wanted that for myself. I prefer a more structured documentation system like this where I can spread things out and link between them.
I plan on heavily editing the CSS in the coming weeks to not be a direct ripoff of XXIIVV. It looks great to me and it's under the MIT license, but I don't like being a copycat.
Eventually I will add navigation but trying to do so while making the initial version of this project was giving me actual headaches so I'll do it when I'm more experienced with Rust and CS in general (college here I come).
2024-07-08 Tonights the night
The last post was poorly written and it's intentions didn't come to fruition. I've scrapped incoming links and a navigation bar for now. Tonight, as I'm writing this, I am editing the CSS to make it look less stolen from the inspiration project.
